Overview
- Organisers publicly announced on May 29 that The Songs of John Farnham: A Living Legend will be held at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on 20 September 2026 with tickets on sale via Ticketek from 10am AEST on 2 June.
- Farnham has confirmed he will never sing on stage again because surgeries to his mouth and face made performing impossible.
- The concert features international headliners including Celine Dion, Hugh Jackman, Keith Urban and Richard Marx, with Dion and Jackman delivering satellite performances rather than appearing in person.
- Chong Lim will lead the John Farnham Band backed by a 38-piece orchestra and a choir, and organisers say more than 120 artists will take part in the one-night curated event produced by TEG Dainty.
- Proceeds will go to Head and Neck Cancer Australia, using Farnham’s public health journey to boost funding and awareness and likely drive strong ticket demand and wider attention to care and support services for patients.
