Jogger Sexually Assaulted and Robbed on South Chicago Lakefront Path

Overview
- The attack happened about 6:05 a.m. Saturday along the lakefront walking path near the 3100 block of East 79th Street, in the area variously called Rainbow Park or Rainbow Beach.
- A 44-year-old woman was running when a man came up from behind, threw her to the ground, sexually assaulted her, then stole her cellphone and fled on foot.
- Chicago police described the suspect as a Black man in his 30s, about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, with short black hair, last seen in a blue or gray shirt and blue jeans.
