Overview
- Hill will start on 14 April 2026, becoming only the third leader of the institution and succeeding interim director Kevin Rodd.
- The appointment follows an international search that drew applications from three continents and 10 nations.
- As director and CEO of Towner Eastbourne, Hill led the museum to a shared Art Fund Museum of the Year award in 2020 and hosted the Turner Prize in 2023.
- He also secured backing to develop the Black Robin Farm arts and heritage centre and previously held roles at Focal Point Gallery, Camden Arts Centre, Firstsite and the Venice Biennale.
- Set on the 500-acre Bretton Hall estate, the park readies for its 50th anniversary in 2027 with Arts Council England National Portfolio funding running through 2026.
