Overview
- JLR told investors on June 17 that it will reengineer its Electrified Modular Architecture (EMA) so it can carry full hybrids as well as battery electric vehicles.
- The company confirmed five near‑term product launches, including Range Rover Electric, Range Rover Sport Electric and Jaguar’s four‑door Type 01, with more EMA‑based model detail to follow later this year.
- Jaguar will remain a fully electric marque built at Solihull while Land Rover nameplates such as Range Rover, Defender and Discovery will offer a mix of MHEV, PHEV, HEV and BEV choices.
- JLR said it will prioritise North America as its main growth engine, has signed a non‑binding memorandum of understanding with Stellantis to explore US product and technology synergies, and is considering local production and supply‑chain moves.
- To repair finances after a disruptive 2025 cyber attack, JLR reconfirmed an £18bn technology investment through FY29, set a target of £1.7bn in cost savings and aims to move breakeven volumes toward about 300,000 cars.
