Overview
- JLR India, which announced the change Tuesday, repriced the Range Rover SV to Rs 3.50 crore from Rs 4.25 crore and the Range Rover Sport SV to Rs 2.35 crore from Rs 2.75 crore.
- The new prices take effect immediately and apply only to completely built units shipped from the United Kingdom.
- The Range Rover SV now includes SV Ultra Metallic paint in gloss and satin as standard equipment.
- Locally assembled JLR models in India, including the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Evoque, Velar, and Discovery Sport, keep their current prices.
- The Defender and Discovery remain unchanged because they are built in Slovakia and sit outside the scope of the anticipated India–UK trade deal, which reports say could cut duties on large UK-built cars from about 110% to 30% in year one and toward 10% over five years within a quota.
