Srinagar police attached a double-storey house and 12.5 marlas of land worth about Rs 1.6 crore linked to Liyaqat Ali Bhat in FIR No. 128/2022 after a codeine recovery.
Officials said the Nowgam attachment was approved by the competent authority and executed in the presence of an Executive Magistrate and independent witnesses.
In a separate Srinagar case (FIR No. 75/2025), investigators froze an immovable property valued at roughly Rs 1.5 crore after tracing its funding to drug trafficking proceeds.
Poonch police reported a three-storey under-construction property worth about Rs 1.10 crore standing in the accused’s wife’s name now legally confirmed attached under Section 68(F)(2) by the SAFEMA authority.
Police stated owners are barred from any sale or transfer of the attached assets and reiterated a zero-tolerance approach, urging the public to share credible information.
