- JetBlue publicly revealed BlueFirst on Sept. 1 with full seat specs, onboard services and a rollout plan that starts later this year, scales with heavy retrofits in 2027 and aims to finish across the non-Mint fleet by 2028.
- BlueFirst uses Collins Aerospace two-by-two recliner seats fitted with Tuft & Needle T&N Flex foam, offers up to seven inches more legroom and features 13.3-inch Bluetooth-ready screens plus USB-A, USB-C and 110V power.
- The cabin adds digital-forward service such as seatback ordering, a “Mixologist Mode” for custom cocktails and a FirstFare bento-style meal on flights of 899 miles or longer, with premium snacks, curated coffee and sommelier-selected wines.
- JetBlue will sell BlueFirst in three fare tiers—flex, standard and base—with standard and flex including seat selection, two free checked bags and no change or cancel fees, plus Group 1 boarding and expedited security at 30+ airports.
- BlueFirst is a central piece of JetBlue’s JetForward push to grow premium revenue and better compete with legacy carriers, but a BlueFirst ticket does not automatically include access to JetBlue’s BlueHouse lounges.
