Jeep Refreshes Avenger With Light-Up Grille, Manual Petrol Option and Tech Upgrades

The refresh signals Jeep’s push to keep its best-selling European model competitive.

Overview

  • Jeep’s smallest SUV, revealed Wednesday in Europe, gets a sharper front end with an optional illuminated seven-slot grille that debuts the feature for the brand.
  • The battery-electric version keeps its 54 kWh pack and 115 kW motor with a WLTP range near 248–249 miles, plus charging at up to 100 kW DC and 11 kW AC.
  • A new 1.2‑litre turbo three‑cylinder pairs with a six‑speed manual, while the mild‑hybrid and 4xe all‑wheel‑drive variants continue; the 4xe adds an electric motor on the rear axle and is not a plug‑in.
  • The cabin gains softer door materials and a padded lower dash, a 10.25‑inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, matrix LED headlights, and a front camera for 360‑degree view.
  • UK orders open in late summer, and Jeep says the Avenger has sold about 270,000 since launch with roughly 60% electrified.
