Overview
- A Jeep drove through the front window of the Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin-Robbins at 7171 W. Irving Park Rd., near Harlem Irving Plaza, during Thursday morning rush hours and came to rest inside the store.
- An NBC 5 photographer and other witnesses said the driver exited the vehicle before first responders arrived at the scene.
- The Chicago Fire Department reported two people were taken to the hospital in good condition and Block Club Chicago said those customers were treated and released from Resurrection Hospital.
- Police have not released an official cause for the crash, but local reporting says the 32-year-old driver was cited for driving on a suspended license and the store closed temporarily with a likely reopening later Thursday.
