Overview
- IIT Roorkee confirmed the exam will run in computer-based mode on May 17 with two mandatory papers, 9:00–12:00 and 14:30–17:30.
- Registration opens April 6 for foreign nationals and April 23–May 2 for Indian nationals, with admit cards available May 11–17 on jeeadv.ac.in.
- Eligibility remains limited to the top 250,000 JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 candidates, with a maximum of two attempts in consecutive years and standard age and prior-admission restrictions.
- Candidate response sheets will be released May 21, the provisional answer key on May 25, objections accepted May 25–26, and results announced June 1 followed by JoSAA counselling on June 2.
- Separately reported, IIT Kanpur has prepared questions for a pilot of an adaptive, reasoning-focused test that could be trialled around this cycle if IIT Roorkee grants approval.
