Jayson Swain Named Vol Network Football Color Analyst
Tennessee promoted a familiar former Vol to the booth to replace the analyst who left for the NFL and keep continuity in its long-running radio coverage.
Overview
- Tennessee Athletics and Learfield announced Friday that Jayson Swain will serve as the Vol Network’s gameday color analyst alongside veteran play-by-play voice Mike Keith.
- Mike Keith revealed the hire in a surprise in-studio moment on WNML’s Josh and Swain show when he informed Swain he had been chosen for the role.
- Swain joined the Vol Network in 2021 as a sideline reporter and moved into pregame, halftime and postgame booth duties last season before this internal promotion.
- The opening followed Ramon Foster’s May departure to become the Tennessee Titans’ radio analyst, and Swain will join sideline reporter Brent Hubbs and host Larry Stone for the season that begins Sept. 5.
- Swain is a 2003–06 Tennessee alumnus and 2006 team captain who caught 126 passes for 1,721 yards and 10 touchdowns, and the Vol Network’s broadcasts reach more than 70 stations plus the Tennessee Athletics app.
