Jason Kelce Named to University of Cincinnati 50th Athletics Hall of Fame Class

Overview

  • The University of Cincinnati announced the selection on Thursday, Aug. 13, naming Kelce the final inductee in the James P. Kelly Athletics Hall of Fame 50th anniversary class.
  • The induction will take place at Fifth Third Arena on Friday, Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m., with a member presale beginning Aug. 17 and general public tickets on sale Aug. 24.
  • UC credited Kelce's college career for his transformation from a 2006 walk‑on linebacker into a three‑year offensive line starter who earned two All‑Big East honors and helped the Bearcats win back‑to‑back conference titles and reach the 2008 Orange Bowl and 2009 Sugar Bowl.
  • Kelce spent 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, earned seven Pro Bowl nods and six First‑Team All‑Pro selections, set the team record for consecutive regular‑season starts, and won Super Bowl LII.
  • The ceremony will honor other 2026 inductees including Bob Huggins and Connor Barwin and is timed the night before UC's 100th Homecoming game, a scheduling move that organizers say is intended to boost alumni attendance and raise funds for the Impact Fund.
