- A jury at Winchester Crown Court found Desborough guilty of murdering Claudio Aquilino and Daniel Coleman on Tuesday after a five-week trial and three hours of deliberation.
- Mr Justice Saini imposed two whole-life orders on Desborough on Wednesday so he will never be released and will die in custody.
- Police recovered extensive forensic evidence in woodland near Sticker, including about 1,900 burned bone fragments and parts of a dismembered body, which investigators linked to Desborough.
- Investigators also seized handwritten notes and a diagram from Desborough’s cabin and presented evidence that he accessed the victims’ bank accounts and spent their money on drugs and alcohol.
- Devon and Cornwall Police have opened a major-crime review of four other unexpected deaths at the Sandy Lodge Hotel while Desborough lived there but say he is not a suspect at this time and inquiries continue.
