Jalisco Launches Mi Transporte Ruta 9 Linking Line 3 Bus Station With Tonalá, CUTonalá and Hospital Civil de Oriente

Fares remain at 11 pesos general, 5 pesos preferential.

Overview

  • The route is now in service with eight new Mercedes‑Benz buses connecting the Central Bus Station on Line 3 to Tonalá, CUTonalá and the Hospital Civil de Oriente.
  • Buses run every 15 minutes from about 04:30 to 23:30, covering a 24 km corridor in roughly 66 minutes end to end.
  • Each unit carries up to 80 passengers and includes universal accessibility features such as ramps, wheelchair spaces, Braille signage and priority seating.
  • Officials position the service as a near‑term mobility boost for CUTonalá’s roughly 10,000 students, hospital patients, workers and nearby residents.
  • Ruta 9 integrates with the existing Line 3 network and is presented as a step toward future linkage with the planned Line 5, with coverage reaching areas such as Los Castillos and El Vado.
