- Police and PTI reports now put the death toll at three, after an injured worker succumbed on Sunday following the Saturday evening explosion.
- The blast struck Plot No. 16 in Jaipur’s Vishwakarma Industrial Area around 7:50 pm during cylinder filling, according to officials.
- Those killed include factory manager Vinod Gupta and workers identified as Munna Rai and Shibu (also known as Anuva).
- The explosion blew off the unit’s tin shed, brought down a wall, and hurled heavy metal fragments into nearby houses, prompting residents to flee and demand relocation of such units.
- Police have sealed the site and Forensic Science Laboratory teams have inspected the plant, with the cause under investigation and no official determination yet.
