Overview
- Johnny Robinson III, a 34-year-old Temple Christian Academy teacher, was arrested on multiple felonies and later booked on additional counts of possessing child sexual abuse material after investigators examined his phone, and he remains jailed on a $375,030 bond.
- The investigation began when a 12-year-old reported in December 2025 that explicit messages and images had been coming from unknown numbers starting in November and continuing into January.
- Detectives say the sender used internet phone numbers, known as VoIP, to hide who they were and posed as a peer, with messages resuming from new numbers each time the child tried to block them.
- The Clay County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children unit identified Robinson as the suspect, searched his phone with a warrant on March 30, and the school first placed him on leave and then fired him, saying the case does not involve its students or staff.
- The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information to contact Detective Philip Crider or submit an anonymous tip through First Coast Crime Stoppers or the SaferWatch app.
