- Detroit manager A.J. Hinch announced that Flaherty will make a rehab start for the Double-A Erie SeaWolves at UPMC Park on Tuesday, June 23.
- Flaherty left a June 12 start with inflammation of the left peroneal tendon and completed an extended bullpen session that the club described as encouraging while noting mound slope remains a key test.
