Overview
- Coronation Street aired a rare Sunday episode on Sunday, June 7 to replace an instalment missed when live women's football was shown earlier in the week.
- Both soaps will be taken off air on Tuesday, June 9 because ITV1 will broadcast the England v Ukraine Women's European Qualifier with coverage beginning at 7.30pm.
- On Wednesday, June 10 Emmerdale will start at 7.00pm and Coronation Street at 7.30pm to make room for ITV’s live coverage of England’s warm-up match against Costa Rica.
- No new episodes will air on Thursday, June 11 because the World Cup opening ceremony and first match are scheduled that evening, and ITV will run hour-long make-up editions on Friday, June 12 (Emmerdale at 8.00pm and Coronation Street at 9.00pm).
- The changes build on ITV’s January 2026 shift to a weekday 30-minute ‘soaps power hour’ and the broadcaster says it will keep publishing episode guidance and storyline updates so viewers know when to watch.
