Overview
- ITV has commissioned a three-part documentary, working title Freddie Flintoff’s Mission: Nepal, produced by 72 Films.
- Flintoff will travel to Nepal with Mr Jahrad Haq, the maxillofacial surgeon who led his reconstructive treatment after the 2022 accident.
- The pair will work with UK charity Face Facts to provide facial surgeries for patients with little or no access to care and to support sustainable improvements in local services.
- Flintoff said he wants to use his profile to highlight disparities in treatment after benefiting from top-level medical help following his crash.
- A broadcast date has not been announced, and the commission follows the BBC confirming there are no current plans to return Flintoff’s Field Of Dreams.
