ITC Unveils 'ITC Next' Roadmap to Scale FMCG, Digital Farming and Green Businesses

The FY26 plan sets numeric targets for farmer onboarding, hotel expansion, packaging capacity and a 2050 net‑zero goal to boost revenue and secure supply chains.

Overview

  • ITC formalized the medium‑term 'ITC Next' strategy in its FY26 annual report and has started execution with more than 70 cloud kitchens operating and integration of a recent pulp and paper acquisition.
  • The company said it will push to become India’s No. 1 FMCG player by expanding core brands and entering value‑added categories focused on health, nutrition, convenience and premium products.
  • ITCMAARS, the company’s digital agriculture platform, targets onboarding 4,000 farmer producer organisations and reaching one crore farmers by 2030 while offering personalised agronomy advice, market linkages and easier credit.
  • ITC projects ITCMAARS could lift crop yields by about 15–20% and raise farmers’ net returns by roughly 25–30% through data‑driven advisories and improved market access.
  • The plan links sustainability and scale by aiming for net‑zero operations by 2050, expanding recyclable and fibre‑based packaging via added paperboard capacity, and warning that external shocks such as geopolitical tensions and a weak monsoon could pressure demand and farmer incomes.
