Overview
- ITC says its integrated spices programme now covers more than 31,800 farmers across 220,000 acres, targeting organic and traceable exports.
- At the core is a Guntur, Andhra Pradesh facility spanning six acres with capacity above 20,000 metric tonnes a year and processing more than 15 spice varieties.
- The company uses barcode-based tracking from farm to shipment, and consignments have met food safety limits in the EU, Japan and the US, reducing recall risk.
- Through its ITCMAARS platform, the firm provides AI tools such as crop calendars, pest detection and a multilingual voice assistant, and it currently supports about 18,250 spices farmers.
- ITC anchors farmer training in Integrated Pest Management, Integrated Crop Management and organic models, and an IDH analysis reported a 42% income gain over 10 years for participating farmers.
