Overview
- The national agreement was signed late on June 23 by Sisac and the unions Fimmg and Fmt to define how general practitioners will work in the new Case di Comunità.
- Under the pact doctors must provide up to six hours a week for 48 weeks a year with shifts of at least three continuous hours and a national hourly tariff of €38.72 plus charges.
- Not all unions agreed: Smi and Snami refused to sign, arguing the deal alters the traditional contractual nature and increases compulsory duties for self-employed family doctors.
- Implementation now falls to individual Aziende Sanitarie, which must allocate hours within existing budgets, guarantee at least one doctor per Case di Comunità, and consult local AFT referents when setting staffing.
- The deal unlocks PNRR funding by meeting the June 30 activation target for 1,038 facilities, and further national contract negotiations for 2025–2027 remain scheduled through September 2026.
