- Carabinieri del ROS carried out a targeted search on June 17 and seized a photograph described by prosecutors as “significant” plus a weapon silencer from the home of one of four men under investigation for killings during the 1992–95 siege of Sarajevo.
- Prosecutors opened the Milan inquiry after an exposé and witness depositions from an ex-wife and an ex-companion who said a suspect confessed to weekend sniper trips to Bosnia and kept a photo used as a pass and a silencer.
- The defence lawyer contests the photo’s attribution, calling it a magazine clipping and saying the person pictured is not her client, and has signalled she will request expert analysis if needed.
