The briefing ties operational support to a government drive to triple the satellite fleet within three years.

Overview

  • ISRO chief V. Narayanan said more than 400 scientists worked around the clock to deliver earth‑observation and communications support for the mission.
  • He reported that ISRO provided continuous satellite data to meet national security requirements during the operation.
  • The remarks were delivered at AIMA’s 52nd National Management Convention on September 9.
  • Operation Sindoor saw extensive use of drones and loitering munitions and trials of the indigenously developed Akash Teer air‑defence system.
  • ISRO also highlighted Gaganyaan progress, citing 7,700 ground tests completed and the first uncrewed flight expected in December, alongside plans for additional tests and crewed missions.
