IRCTC Launches 17-Day 'Shri Ramayana Yatra' Train From Delhi on March 30

IRCTC pitches a turnkey pilgrimage package to boost domestic tourism.

Overview

  • The Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC tourist train will host the tour, featuring two restaurants, a modern kitchen, shower cubicles, sensor-based washrooms and foot massagers, with CCTV coverage and security guards in each coach.
  • The 16-night route links key Ramayana sites across India and Nepal, including Ayodhya, Nandigram, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Buxar, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Shringverpur, Chitrakoot, Nashik, Hampi and Rameshwaram.
  • Road segments are built into the itinerary, notably Sitamarhi to Janakpur in Nepal and visits to Prayagraj, Shringverpur and Chitrakoot with arranged overnight stays.
  • The journey spans roughly 7,560 km and is scheduled to return to Delhi on day 17.
  • Packages cost Rs 1,14,100 (3AC), Rs 1,51,225 (2AC) and Rs 1,64,940 (1AC), inclusive of train travel, three-star hotels, vegetarian meals, AC transfers and sightseeing, travel insurance and IRCTC tour managers, with booking available via a 25% part-payment option.
