Iran Proposes OIC Non‑Aggression Pact and Intra‑Islamic Economic Network

Overview

• Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian used the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation platform to propose three concrete steps: a mutual non‑aggression/security pact, a permanent OIC mediation mechanism, and a network of economic and scientific cooperation among Muslim states.
• Pezeshkian presented the proposals during the International Islamic Unity Conference where roughly 600 guests from about 40 countries attended events in Tehran, Qom, Mashhad and four provinces.
