Overview
- Officers were called to a Russet Road address around 1:10am on 10 March and found a 28-year-old woman unresponsive, who was pronounced dead shortly after.
- Paul Stevenson, 39, of Fletcher Road in Ipswich, was arrested on suspicion of murder and has now been charged and remanded in custody to appear at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on 12 March.
- Detectives secured a further 29 hours of detention from magistrates on 11 March before bringing the murder charge.
- A Home Office post-mortem took place on 11 March, with the cause of death pending further investigation.
- Suffolk Police are appealing for information via the Major Incident Public Portal or 101 quoting reference 37/13765/26, with anonymous reports accepted through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
