Overview
- Construction has started on the former MegaAsia lot at the busy Óvalo Mochica intersection of Nicolás de Piérola and Pablo Casals in Trujillo.
- The project spans about 15,000 m² of land with more than 27,000 m² of built area, including terraces, a food court and parking on the second level.
- Anchor tenants are confirmed as Plaza Vea (~6,500 m²) and Promart (~6,400 m²), with a modern Cineplanet and additional retail and dining spaces planned.
- Intercorp is deploying its Plaza Center strip/power center format with open architecture oriented to convenience and operational efficiency.
- Opening is projected for late 2026, contingent on construction progress and regulatory or technical clearances, following the earlier Real Plaza Trujillo roof collapse that killed eight and injured more than 80 and led to ongoing investigations.
