INSS Schedules Late-January System Migration as Users Face Second Day of Instability

Dataprev attributes recent slowdowns to an access surge and plans to take digital channels offline from 7 p.m. Jan. 27, though notices differ on when services will return.

Overview

  • INSS says in-person service will be suspended nationwide Jan. 28–30, with Meu INSS and the 135 call center unavailable starting 7 p.m. on Jan. 27.
  • End dates conflict: Dataprev indicates services return Jan. 31, while INSS communications point to Feb. 1, leaving users uncertain.
  • Users reported access failures for a second straight day on Jan. 21, and INSS said it was awaiting Dataprev’s explanation for the latest instability.
  • To mitigate the shutdown, INSS ran extra appointments on Jan. 17–18 and will hold new weekend mutirões on Jan. 24–25, advising beneficiaries to confirm rebookings by 7 p.m. on Jan. 27.
  • Dataprev says an atypical spike of about 8.5 million queries in a single day—linked to benefit adjustments, consignado loan margins and a new tax bracket—strained systems earlier in the week.
