Influencer’s Shivpuri Home Burgled After Jewellery Reel

Investigators are scanning nearby CCTV to trace suspects as they assess whether the influencer’s public jewellery posts drew attention to the house.

Overview

  • Two days after posting reels showing heavy gold, unidentified burglars entered Rachna Gurjar’s Mohani Khyavda home late on a Friday night and locked the bedroom from outside to prevent interference.
  • Police say the thieves cut the boundary fencing, tilted CCTV cameras to disable clear recording, and broke cupboards and locks before leaving with cash and jewellery.
  • The stolen items include about Rs 1.91 lakh in cash, a gold mangalsutra, four gold rings, a silver kardhani and other valuables with the total loss estimated at roughly Rs 7–8 lakh.
  • Narwar/Shivpuri police have begun scanning CCTV from the area and pursuing leads but have not made any arrests as of the latest reports.
  • The case has prompted public debate over the safety risks of openly displaying wealth online and highlighted gaps in rural perimeter security and home surveillance.
