Influencers Plead No Contest, Get Probation in Everglades Alligator Shooting

Prosecutors opted for probation with education requirements to curb stunt-driven content.

Overview

  • Braden Peters, known as Clavicular, and Andrew Morales, known as the Cuban Tarzan, pleaded no contest Friday in Miami and received six months of probation.
  • The plea terms require 20 hours of community service, a firearm safety class, and a Florida Fish and Wildlife education course.
  • Prosecutors barred the pair from streaming or monetizing their service hours, and the court will withhold adjudication if they complete all conditions.
  • The case stems from a March 26 livestream in the Francis S. Taylor Everglades Wildlife Management Area that showed shots fired toward an apparent alligator, which prompted an FWC investigation and referral for prosecution.
  • A third participant, Yabdiel Anibal Cotto Torres, remains charged and is expected to appear in Miami court later this month.
