Indy Arts Council Seeks Public Input on Fever Facility Mural

Public feedback will inform the voting board’s choice for a 40-foot mural meant to become a downtown landmark before the Fever stadium opens.

Overview

  • The Indy Arts Council launched an online survey on Wednesday that runs through June 14 to gather public feedback on three finalist mural designs.
  • The three finalists are Koda Witsken of Fishers, Alex Ann Allen of South Bend, and Siena Baldi of Indianapolis, each offering distinct concepts that celebrate women’s basketball.
  • The Indiana Fever asked that the mural avoid depicting players or using the team logo while still nodding to Fever colors and uniform elements.
  • The mural will be 40 feet tall on the building’s north-facing wall, is scheduled to be painted in Fall 2026, and is expected to be dedicated before the Fever stadium opens in Spring 2027.
  • The contest began with 65 submissions in December 2025 and the council says the public poll will provide advisory feedback to the voting board rather than directly decide the winner, a step meant to boost community buy-in for a piece tied to downtown placemaking and support for women’s sports.
