Indonesia Orders 12 Pilatus PC-24 Jets for Air Transport, Training and Liaison

The choice underscores Indonesia’s need for jets that serve remote strips across its 17,000 islands.

Overview

  • Pilatus, which confirmed the deal Monday, will supply 12 PC-24 “Super Versatile” jets via PT E-System Solutions Indonesia for the Indonesian Air Force.
  • The contract includes options for more aircraft plus a support package with ground gear, spare parts, training, and technical assistance from Pilatus in Stans, Switzerland.
  • The PC-24 is certified for single-pilot operation, can use short or unpaved runways, and has a large cargo door, features that fit transport, liaison and pilot-training roles.
  • Alongside the jet order, a Letter of Intent covers 24 PC-21 turboprop trainers with ground-based training systems, spares, support equipment, and technical support.
  • Indonesia joins government operators that use the PC-24, including the air arms of Botswana and Qatar, with France’s navy also taking deliveries in 2025.
