IndiGo Moves All Guwahati Flights to Terminal 2 on July 20

Airport officials say the switch is a phased step to expand capacity, speed passenger processing and support rising air traffic in the Northeast.

Overview

  • IndiGo will handle every arrival and departure at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport from 12:01 a.m. on Monday, July 20, with check-in, security and boarding moving to Terminal 2.
  • Airport authorities have added clear wayfinding, information displays and extra support staff across the new terminal to help passengers during the transition.
  • The new Terminal 2 draws on Assam’s bamboo architecture and sustainable design and has won international recognition for its modern facilities.
  • Moving India’s largest domestic carrier to T2 is expected to raise passenger throughput and reinforce Guwahati’s role as the primary aviation gateway to the Northeastern states.
  • Passengers flying IndiGo from July 20 should report directly to Terminal 2, verify flight details with the airline and arrive well in advance to complete check-in and security.
