- Official NSO/MoSPI monthly PLFS data show the national jobless rate edging down from 5.0% in January for people aged 15 and above.

- Female unemployment declined to 5.1% from 5.6%, including drops to 8.7% in urban areas and 4.0% in rural areas.
- Labour force participation held at 55.9%, the female LFPR inched up to 35.3%, and the worker population ratio was broadly steady at 53.2%.
- The February estimates use the PLFS Current Weekly Status approach and are based on 374,879 respondents under a methodology revised in January 2025 to enable monthly indicators.
