Indian Railways to Retire UTS App on March 1, Shifts Ticketing to RailOne

Officials say existing logins and wallet balances will carry over to the new app to keep travel plans uninterrupted.

Overview

  • Key UTS functions are already disabled, including season ticket booking and renewal, new user registration, platform tickets and R‑Wallet top‑ups.
  • Passengers can access the new platform with their current IRCTC or UTS credentials, and existing R‑Wallet balances will be available there.
  • RailOne consolidates services in one place, enabling booking of reserved, unreserved and platform tickets, live train status, PNR and coach details, food ordering and RailMadad complaints with UPI, card, net banking and R‑Wallet payments.
  • A 3% discount applies to unreserved tickets booked through RailOne using digital payment modes, an offer in effect since January 14.
  • Railway officials warn the legacy app may still appear in app stores but updating or downloading it will not restore disabled services, and divisions are urging commuters to switch now to avoid disruption.
