- Following Ashwini Vaishnaw’s instruction, the Railways announced revised, route-specific menus on 11 Vande Bharat services through IRCTC as the first phase of a broader plan.
- On the Nagpur–Secunderabad route, passengers get Maharashtra’s kanda poha alongside Andhra specialities such as dondakaya karam podi fry and Andhra kodi kura, with masala upma added on the CSMT–Madgaon service.
- Gujarat-focused options include methi thepla on Mumbai Central–Gandhinagar and masala lauki on Sabarmati–Veraval, while Odisha’s aloo phulkopi features on Howrah–Puri.
- Kerala’s traditional spread is served on the Kasargod–Thiruvananthapuram and Mangalore–Thiruvananthapuram trains, and West Bengal dishes include kosha paneer on Rourkela–Howrah, aloo potol bhaja on Howrah–Puri, and murgir jhol on New Jalpaiguri–Howrah.
- Bihar’s Champaran paneer and chicken are offered on Patna–Ranchi and Patna–Howrah services, with Dogri and Kashmiri items like ambal kaddu, Jammu chana masala, tomato chaman, and kesar phirni on trains in the Jammu–Kashmir region; officials say more routes will be added over time across a network that runs 164 Vande Bharat chair-car services.
