Overview
- Reservations for Western Railway’s extended specials opened on February 17 via PRS and IRCTC, with many Central Railway services opening on February 18 and unreserved tickets available through UTS.
- Central Railway detailed 186 extra services, including 94 Holi specials, linking Mumbai and Pune with Nagpur, Banaras, Gorakhpur, Samastipur, Danapur and Hazrat Nizamuddin.
- Western Railway prolonged runs on corridors such as Mumbai Central–Indore, Mumbai Central–Bhiwani, Dadar–Bhusaval and Surat–Mangaluru through late March.
- Northeast Frontier Railway scheduled four pairs of Holi specials on Narangi–Gorakhpur, Katihar–Amritsar, Dibrugarh–Jhanjharpur and Dibrugarh–Kolkata between mid-February and March 31.
- East Coast Railway announced specials connecting Bhubaneswar, Visakhapatnam and Sambalpur with destinations including Yesvantpur, Tirupati, Charlapalli, Shalimar, Dhanbad, Puri, Patna and Sealdah, with more possible based on demand.
