  • In a separate case, Delhi cyber teams arrested two men from Jharkhand after a 65-year-old lost Rs 10.52 lakh through a malicious APK that grabbed banking access, with Rs 2.05 lakh frozen and five linked complaints found.
  • Noida police busted a unit that pushed fake KYC APKs to hijack credit cards and buy gold or silver coins to resell, underscoring probes that now trace mule accounts and freeze funds as India tallied Rs 22,495 crore lost to cyber fraud in 2025.
