Overview
- INAPAM has clarified that it only acts as an intermediary for its Servicio de Vinculación Productiva and does not pay the aguinaldo, which must be paid by the hiring company under the Ley Federal del Trabajo.
- Aguinaldo entitlement requires a formal employment relationship or a pension that includes the benefit, with the law setting a minimum of 15 days of salary or a proportional amount.
- The program offers two tracks: Empleo Formal, which creates a labor relationship and legal benefits, and the volunteer packer scheme, where participants receive tips or voluntary contributions and are not eligible for aguinaldo.
- Registration is free and completed in person at INAPAM modules; applicants aged 60+ must present a valid INAPAM card, an official photo ID, an updated CURP, recent proof of address, complete an interview and fill a Solicitud de Inclusión Social.
- For older adults the service can raise incomes and access to benefits when employers comply with contracts, so job seekers should confirm written terms and watch whether employers offer pay or benefits above the legal minimum.
