Walt Disney Imagineering filed a Notice of Commencement on May 27, 2026, listing Orlando contractor Icarus Exhibits and describing the scope as “install set elements.”
The permit follows the ride’s November 10–13, 2025 conversion from 3D to 2D projection, when Disney said new props and lighting would be added in the months after reopening.
The filing does not specify a start or finish date and has been reported to extend into 2027, which suggests work could be spread over many months.
