Illinois Opens Appointment-Only Naperville DMV Under One-Stop Model

The new site consolidates all DMV transactions at a single counter staffed by cross-trained employees.

Overview

  • The office at 1771 W. Diehl Rd., Unit 110 began serving customers under a redesign first outlined in 2024.
  • It operates by appointment only from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.
  • Services include REAL ID and new or renewed licenses and IDs, driving tests, vehicle registration and renewals, title work, Pick-A-Plate, and organ and tissue donor registry enrollment.
  • The facility replaces the long-running 75th Street office, adds about 3,000 square feet and four staff members, and now employs 69 people.
  • Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias marked the opening with local lawmakers, noting the Naperville DMV ranks among the busiest in Illinois and is the 23rd site upgraded to the model.
