- IKEA and Xbox publicly revealed the Yxstaby collection at Gamescom in Cologne on Aug. 26, 2026, and said the range will go on sale in IKEA stores and online starting Oct. 1 in many markets.
- The nine-piece set includes a thumbstick stool, D‑pad cushion and platter, a lounge chair, a rollable TV stand, a side table on castors, a monitor stand, a mirrored display box, and a toolbox that doubles as a laptop stand.
- The thumbstick stool was built from Xbox’s original 3D controller files so it keeps the controller’s textured surface and tilting action while being reworked for seating comfort and stability.
- Designers from both companies prioritized mobility, charging and hidden storage in pieces such as the wheeled TV stand and a side table with sliding doors that hide chargers and controllers.
- The collaboration began at Milan Design Week in 2024, includes playful Easter eggs and leftover ideas for future ranges, and aims to make gaming gear easier to use in small or shared homes.
