- The ICC, which unveiled the March shortlists Monday, named Sanju Samson, Jasprit Bumrah and Connor Esterhuizen on the men’s list and Amelia Kerr, Beth Mooney and Ayabonga Khaka on the women’s.
- India’s Samson and Bumrah were shortlisted for knockout-stage heroics at the T20 World Cup, with Samson striking 97 not out and back-to-back 89s and Bumrah grabbing seven wickets including 4 for 15 in the final.
