IAF Vice Chief Denies Kirana Hills Strike, Reaffirms Operation Sindoor’s Verified Targets

The IAF rejects claims of a Kirana Hills strike during Operation Sindoor, citing verified hits elsewhere.

Overview

  • Vice Chief Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor said the IAF struck terrorist infrastructure and select Pakistani military installations but did not hit Kirana Hills.
  • He described circulating Kirana Hills videos as content produced across the border and said the IAF had “done nothing” at that site.
  • Operation Sindoor was executed in May 2025 after the Pahalgam terror attack, with reports noting up to 11 military targets hit within hours and terror hubs struck in locations including Bahawalpur, Muridke, Muzaffarabad and Kotli.
  • Indian briefings have shown before-and-after satellite imagery of Pakistan’s Shahbaz Airbase in Jacobabad to substantiate damage from the strikes.
  • Kapoor highlighted Rafale jets as central to the operation, said additional MRFA inductions remain under deliberation, and announced selected Operation Sindoor material will feature at Exercise Vayu Shakti 2026 in Jaisalmer.
