I-41 Pursuit in Fond du Lac and Dodge Counties Ends in 3 Arrests, Drugs and Rifle Seized

Overview

  • Deputies spotted a vehicle driving recklessly near Military Road around 12:50 p.m., and a pursuit traveled south on I-41 into Dodge County for just over 17 miles with support from multiple agencies.
  • Dodge County deputies attempted tire deflation devices, the driver evaded them, then lost control and became entangled in a median cable barrier near Highway 28.
  • No injuries were reported, no other vehicles were damaged, and a short section of the interstate that closed for the investigation has reopened.
  • A police K9 alerted to narcotics, leading to the seizure of methamphetamine, crack cocaine, marijuana and a rifle from the vehicle.
  • Arrested were a 39-year-old Watertown man out on bond in multiple felony cases with nine active warrants, a 50-year-old Watertown woman on probation under a hold, and a 23-year-old Milwaukee man, with charges to be referred including fleeing police, felon in possession of a firearm, first-degree recklessly endangering safety and possession with intent to deliver.
