Hyundai Trims Creta Variants, Shifts ADAS To King, Raises Prices

The reshuffle concentrates premium features at the top to raise the entry cost for advanced safety.

Overview

  • Hyundai India has discontinued SX Tech, SX(O) and other trims, leaving seven variants now sold as E, EX, EX(O), S(O), SX, SX Premium and King.
  • Level 2 advanced driver-assistance features are no longer offered on mid trims, with buyers needing the King variant, which lifts the starting price for ADAS by up to about Rs 1.48 lakh.
  • Prices have been revised across select trims, with hikes reported from roughly Rs 9,100 to as high as about Rs 1.20 lakh depending on the version.
  • Examples noted include the SX Premium petrol manual rising by Rs 54,900 and the S(O) diesel automatic up by Rs 57,900, reflecting a push of premium kit to higher trims.
  • The mechanical package is unchanged with three 1.5-litre engines and the current manual, CVT, torque-converter automatic and 7‑speed DCT options, while the Summer Edition and dealer offers continue with reported benefits up to Rs 1.05 lakh; talk of a facelift remains unconfirmed.
