Overview
- Hyundai opened UK and European order books on Monday, 17 August, confirming a starting price of £22,245 for the IONIQ 3 Advance with a 42 kWh battery.
- The hatch will be offered with 42 kWh and 61 kWh batteries, advertised WLTP ranges of about 213 miles and up to 308 miles, and trim prices running to £31,945 for the range‑topping N Line Evo.
- Hyundai has begun production of the IONIQ 3 at its Izmit, Turkey plant with initial annual output targeted at about 30,000 units and says showroom arrivals are expected in late September.
- The company is offering a £1,500 reservation saving on every 61 kWh car while awaiting Electric Car Grant assessment, and it says that saving will not be combined with the government grant if the model is later confirmed eligible.
- Reports disagree on the car’s charging architecture — some outlets cite a 400V system while another reports 800V — but published charging estimates point to roughly 10–80% DC fast charging in about 29–30 minutes, a detail Hyundai has yet to fully clarify.
