Overview
- Hyundai launched the refreshed Ioniq 5 in India on Tuesday at Rs 55.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
- The new 84 kWh pack replaces a 72.6 kWh unit and carries an ARAI-certified range of up to 690 km.
- The car retains an 800V system that supports up to 350 kW DC fast charging with a 10 to 80 percent top-up in about 18 minutes under ideal conditions.
- Software additions include the Connected Car Navigation Cockpit, controller over-the-air updates, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, in-car payment for charging, and Bluelink remote immobilisation.
- The price is up by Rs 12.10 lakh over the prior version, placing the Ioniq 5 against premium EVs such as the Kia EV6, BYD Sealion and Volvo EX40.
