Hyundai Launches Exter Facelift in India With New HX Trims and Standard 6 Airbags

Hyundai elevates safety by making six airbags with stability control standard.

Overview

  • Hyundai rolled out the refreshed Exter in India priced at Rs 5.80–9.40 lakh, a slight increase over the outgoing model, across HX2 to HX10 trims.
  • The mechanical package is unchanged, keeping the 1.2-litre petrol with 5-speed manual or AMT and a factory CNG option that remains manual-only with twin underfloor tanks.
  • Exterior updates include a redesigned bumper and grille, new C-pillar garnish and wheel designs, a relocated model badge, and two new paint options called Golden Bronze and Titanium Black Matte.
  • Inside, the facelift adds a navy and grey cabin theme, 3D carbon-style dash trim, a flat-bottom steering wheel, a driver armrest, a dashcam, and Type-C ports alongside the carried-over 8-inch display.
  • Regional coverage in South Africa reports the facelifted model is expected locally toward the end of the year, though Hyundai has not confirmed export timing.
